New friends

Today we went to a birthday party. It was lots of fun, and Skylar instantly attatched to another little girl. They played all afternoon.Running, blowing bubbles, non stop talking and a little playground action as well.

They even had time for relaxing.

By the end, they were the best of friends.

Its so cute when they get like this. I love it!!

Fishing with Daddy

Last time we were at the lake, we finally got Skylar's fishing pole all set up. So Skylar and daddy set out on an adventure. They went digging in some dirt to find some worms....which Skylar did not want to touch. Playing in the dirt was great until she saw the worms.

Then out to the dock they went. They had lots of fun. And Skylar now loves fishing. Doesn't have the attention span yet to sit more than a few minutes, but it's a start.

Im a big girl!

While at the lake this weekend, I decided that Skylar was no longer going to wear pull-ups. She has been wearing them to long and it was time to end it. So starting Thursday I put her in big girl underwear's. Well today is day 5 and she is doing great! Only one accident. So rock on Skylar!!!

We went to a birthday party on Saturday evening and as Skylar was in the birthday boys arms, he started to hold her like a baby. And she got all upset. When he asked what was wrong, she told him.....I am not a baby I'm a big girl I wear underwear. He was speechless, which was funny in itself because he always has a come back. So I just thought that I would share this story. No pics....just something I wanted to share.

4th of July

We had a great holiday this year. Skylar had lots and lots of fun. She played so much that she actually slept in....Woo Hoo!!!! Kailey, her friend from next door to Grammy's, came over and they ran around and played for hours.

Skylar also got to play with Laura and Jordan, new friends to her, old friends of mommy and daddy.Skylar even learned a few new tricks from her new friends:)

The fireworks were great! Skylar named off ever color she saw. Wasn't scared one bit. And all the little kids she saw that were crying she just kept saying...its all right, don't worry, it is just fireworks.
