Little Miss Trouble

Skylar loves to wears her daddys hat. So while shopping at Target daddy found her one. So now she has her very own hat. And she loves it! Wears it all the time.
And it is so cute!

Easter Fun

This was an eggciting easter this year.
Skylar was totally into it and very excited to see the Easter Bunny and was Phils first easter egg hunt.
So Saturday we went to a park full of little ones ready to find some eggs. skylar did great!! Totally knew what to do and filled her basket.
All of the eggs had something in it, either a piece of candy or a ticket to get a prize. Skylar got 2 tickets. So after the hunt was over we had to go see the easter bunny and then waited in a really long line for her prize.
It was very cold and windy and by the time we got to the prize table not very happy to see that the prizes were little plastic rings and stickers.

Skylar however, was totally stoked, seeing as she loves rings right now got a pink and a blue ring with her tickets. Then we got back to our heated car as soon as possible.
But what would a day out be without a little bubbles.

So we found a park and played some more in the freezing cold. All and all it was a great easter and I think both Skylar and daddy enjoyed their easter fun.

A little Dinner music

Dinner time is the most fun in our house. Skylar gets more and more silly as her tummy fills up with mommys yummy cooking(and sometimes daddys cooking too :) ) A few nights ago silly little girl finished her food before everyone and wanted down. Since she had been good we let the beast loose. And then she provided us with a little dinner entertainment. Super cute and I am so glad that I had my camera handy.

Baby in Belly

A couple days ago me and Skylar had to go to an ATM to grab some cash. There was a coffee stand right next to the ATM and the young lady behind the counter was talking to Skylar. I am not really listening to their conversation until I hear Skylar start to tell her about the baby in mommy's belly. So this is what I heard:

This is my momma.
Thats nice.
Yup. She has baby in belly.
Wow. Thats neat.
Daddy helped make the baby
Oh really?(her eyes quite big now)
Yeah...(long pause) Skylar was sleeping


I felt like the crab in the Little Mermaid....my jaw was to the ground. That Skylar. She is cute but wow is she a talker!!!!

Breakfast disaster!

this morning I was really craving a breakfast buffet. I couldnt decide on what I wanted so I decided I wanted it all. So the three of us took off for a day of fun. We found a Home Town Buffet and went it. I immediately went and got Skylar a plate and then preceeded to get my own. Then daddy went. As me and Skylar were sitting at the table I took a drink of my orange juice. Skylar really wanted some, and had her mouth hanging open like a little birdie. So i reached across the table to give her my glass ( I know I know first mistake there) she got so excited that when she went to grab it she pulled really hard and the glass went flying out of my hands and juice went right into her face...all over her clothes....down on the seat...and even a little on the people behind us. Skylar immediately started to cry, but not me....good ol' mommy is crying to but of hysterical laughter. It was so cute and funny. And the only reason Skylar was crying was because all the juice was gone...in between sobs saying more juice more juice. So I went to her side of the table and started to clean her up, still laughing like no other. People around us were just looking at me and giving me looks like I cant believe you are laughing at her. But how could i not?? So after Phil got back to the table I went to the car to try and find a shirt. And all I found was a big white Tshirt . So I went back in told her I had a dress for her and she put it on. It dragged on the ground and was falling off of her shoulders, but it wasnt wet or smelly like OJ. I wish I had a video camera on me all the time, because seriously.....that could have won on Americas Funniest Videos!! Price of breakfast:$18.00 ... of new clothes:$15.00 ... Look on her face$ PRICELESS

And she has been talking about it all day to everyone!

Round and Round

Round and round the garden goes the little teddy bear, one step.....two step......tickle tickle under there!!!! This is a daily routine at the Broughton house. And today was no different. After Skylar got up from her nap she jumped into mommy and daddys bed to hang out as she woke up. We started our tickle games and next thing I know mommy is being attacked by Skylar and daddy. As I am screaming of laughter, Skylar grabs by head and pulls it onto her shoulder and starts to say "Its ok mommy, Its ok, put your head on my shoulder." And then preceeds to take my hand and give it to Daddy to tickle me some more. The whole time holding my head down on her saying it over and over....its ok. I was in tears I was laughing so hard. And she was pretty proud of herself too for helping daddy out, but at the same time being on mommys side. She cracks me up!!!

Projectile Vomit

Yesterday sweet little adorable Skylar puked all over my car!!!!! She was fine one minute, then got quiet. All of a sudden she starts crying saying she wants to go home crouched over in her car seat and then sits up and start spewing like no other!!! I immediately pull over and start to pull her out. I strip her down and put her in the front seat of the car so I can try to clean up the horrible mess. But I wasn't handling the puke so well and started to get sick myself. I would get a wipe clean a little and then blah.....Skylar is feeling much better now and starts to tell me
Its ok momma puke, you feel better. I puke I better now. So puke momma puke! I really sure you be better!!

I finally get it all cleaned up and find an assortment of clothes in the backseat to wrap her up in so that she doesnt touch the icky seat and stays warm. But thw whole way home she is singing: you puke you better i puke i better everybody puke!

This happened on Weds and it is now Saturday and she is still telling anybody that will listen to her how she puked in mommys car and felt better and then mommy did too. Such a proud little girl.

Bed Time

The last few days Skylar has been sick. So she has not been up to her normal funny self. But today I could tell she was getting her groove back. And tonight was like any other bedtime....trying to tame the beast. She likes to knock on her door now to get our attention. And as I am setting up her very own blog I hear her a knocking. But I ignore, hoping she will put herself back to bed. But I hear Phil go in and within minutes he is up here telling me that Skylar informed him that she needs her mommy because
She has fallen out of bed!!!

As she is telling him this she is not crying, she is not whining......but laughing!!!!!!!! Who falls out of bed and laughs? Only Skylar. She is so weird, but who doesn't love a little weird. I know I couldn't go a day without it.
