OK, so I know this is ridiculously late. But better late than never.
For Skylar's birthday we threw her a surprise party. It was a circus theme, and was a blast! Grandma took her out to ride the tram going up to OHSU and then they went to the Rose Gardens, while we were putting up all the decorations and guests arrived.

When Skylar walked in the door she was completely surprised! The look on her face was priceless!
She kept telling me that we were going to go to Chuck E Cheese....hehehe. And luckily she wasn't upset that we didn't go. Although I'm sure she will have me take her there at some point.
We had all sorts of circus themed games and activities. We had face painting,

balloon animals and even had a clown.

Of course there was pin the tail on the donkey.

Push the clown nose across the floor.

Musical noses(similar to musical chairs, but when music stopped kids had to grab a clown nose). And a balloon pop. All the balloons had pieces of paper in them, and some of them had a star meaning they got a prize.

Skylar also had a party at her school. I took in cupcakes and let all the kids decorate them themselves. I took all the leftover prizes and goodie bag toys and gave them to her classmates. Skylar had a great birthday week!

I made Skylar a barbie cake. She loved it...of course.

Her big present from us was a guitar.

She figured it out what it was before she even opened it. She had so much fun that first night, and still is loving it. Her daddy is giving her lessons, and she is doing great.
